“Age is Just a Number, not a state of mind or the reason for a particular behavior.”

It is a great quote cited by Cecelia Ahern. Many people live their lives in this world. They pass their times only. They don’t have any goals.

“Many people are born to live only but some are born to make people live.”

Introduction to Age

To debate on the above quote, firstly, we have to know that What is Age?

According to people, age is the time period that one has been spending or has spent (for the gone/deceased people).

But according to Cecelia Ahren, age is just a number, not a state of mind. These words have very deep meaning inside them. To understand this meaning, we’ll discuss concrete examples of the people who did not care for the ages and crossed the barriers of age. These examples will make you understand that age is actually a number and it doesn’t matter.

Usually, most of the people rely on ages. They consider age as much for them but it doesn’t matter actually. Nowadays, it has become a trend to express you younger than your actual chronological age. It is not a good trend.

Examples of Our Greats:

As I am Muslim so in our history there born many great personalities who crossed all the limits of age.

Muhammad Bin Qasim

Muhammad bin Qasim (695–715 AD) was a great commander and leader in the history of Islam. He was the son of Qasim bin Yusuf and the nephew of Hajjaj bin Yousaf.

At that time, Raja Dahir was the King of Sindh. He was a merciless and faker king. After the murder of Makran Governer, the Arabs had a doubt on Raja Dahir. But when the ship of Hajjaj Bin Yousaf was stolen by Sindhi thieves at the place of Daybul, Hajjaj bin Yousaf had a rampage on him.

Hajjaj bin Yousaf gave the commandment to Muhammad bin Qasim (when he was 15/16) and sent him to conquer Sindh in 711 AD.

After that, due to the intensive military and political strategies of Muhammad Bin Qasim, Sindh was conquered by Ummayid. Raja Dahir was captured and imprisoned in the jail. Muslims won the battle.

After conquering Sindh, he moved to Multan and conquered it.

The purpose is that Muhammad bin Qasim conquered the Sindh when he was just 15 years of age. He conquered the place for which Ummayid was looking to get for many years but failed. Now, a 15 years old human is called a child. People say that this is the age of study and play only. But we’ve discussed above that success and victory do not demand to be ideal in age. They demand your mentality and a strengthful belief.

What are the Aspects of Age Limitation?

When we set the age limit and ignore talent and skills then we have to lose the precious capital of the country. There are both positive and negative aspects of age limitation.

Positive Aspects

  • It is good to set an age limit for different purposes as young people need grooming. After grooming and good training, they become a star.
  • Independence at a young age may be harmful to young talents as they are not mature so they can move on the wrong path. To avoid this, the age limitation is good.

According to the National Survey of drugs in the U.S.A, 50,000 students of 8th,10th, and 12th grade are drugs addicted. You can also check the report as well.

Negative Aspects

  • It is good to restrict children but to a limited level. When we do not give opportunities to young people then we have to lose the future of the country. I think at least give them a single opportunity and if they really have talent then teach them.
  • Lack of awareness in people is becoming the main cause that stops young people from growing. Proper awareness is needed among Asian developing countries like Pakistan, India, Nepal, etc.

In such countries, children are forced emotionally to choose the career which their parents want. For instance, a father in Pakistan says to his child, “Son you have to become a doctor.” Now the son wants to be a digital marketer then what should he do now? If he refuses to his dad then his dad may kick him out from the home.

You can see the biographies of the business icons just like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffet, etc. Such types of conditions Asian people have to face. If you are an Asian and agree with my opinion then comment “Yes!” below.

Conclusion

We have discussed in this article that Age is just a number and you should not consider it essential to give the opportunity to young people. We’ve discussed the examples of some great people in history and some examples of this era. After that, we’ve discussed the aspects of the Age Limitation.
